Adopt a School

What would happen if…

• Churches across North America prayed every week for students in 65,000 public schools in North America?
• Volunteers from those churches served the schools as hall monitors, classroom assistants, tutors, event organizers, PTA delegates, or coaches?
• Students from those churches were empowered to be salt and light on those school campuses?
• God-fearing staff members from those churches- whether teachers, principals, or administrators; recognized their profession as a calling to reach these schools with the Gospel?

Could there be more opportunities for God to move in the lives of students in our communities?  Scripture proclaims, "He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within us." (Ephesians 3:20)  May we all see the power and the purpose behind service and commitment to the spread of the Gospel among the students across North America!

In case you were wondering...The idea is doable. There are 45,000 Southern Baptist Churches with many more evangelical churches in North Amerca. Including the private and/or parochial schools, there are still more than two churches for every school.
