Step One
Reserve the fourth Tuesday of September on the church calendar and begin promotion for Campus Prayer Journey.

Step Two
Select a Campus Prayer Journey coordinator to enlist, promote, and organize your church members for the Prayer Journeys on the campuses in your community.

Step Three
Identify the local elementary, middle, junior high, high school, and college/university campuses where your church members and their friends attend or work.

Step Four
Recruit an adult to serve as an on-campus coordinator for each school where your students attend. The on-campus coordinator will work with your church’s Campus Prayer Journey coordinator and other church leadership to recruit adults to pray for each assigned school.

Step Five
During the fourth week of July, meet with your Campus Prayer Journey coordinator, and go through the “enlistment and promotion plan” (see sample, page 1). Many churches may choose to divide the responsibilities of promotion and enlistment between the youth minister and the prayer coordinator. Delegate as many responsibilities as possible to involve as many people as possible.

Step Six
Look at the order form on the inside back cover. Order materials and promotional items needed including ample Prayer Journey Guides from the Campus Prayer Journey office. The Prayer Journey Guide provides instructions for Prayer Journey participants. The guide also will introduce participants to several key areas for prayer in the lives of our teachers, children, and their friends.

Step Seven
Commission your students and teachers to become “Campus Missionaries” with the mission of praying for and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with their friends at school. Utilizing the Campus Missionary Strategy, you may plan to have a special “commissioning service” for students and teachers the Sunday before Campus Prayer Journey and See You at the Pole.
